Vibrant Color

“It is I who made the earth and created mankind upon it” (Isaiah 45:12 NIV).

Discovering our Lord's amazing creation is right in front of us every second of every day.  I find it very difficult yet it saddens me to encounter an individual who can not see it at all.  The four seasons are just one minute creation that displays the Lord's creativity.

I live in Northern Minnesota and the winter's here are long.  I realized how the lack of color in the environment actually effects my day.  As we travel through all of the seasons throughout the year and the daily gifts of color they display it is amazing how we respond.   In the Spring there is a sense of renewal, in the Summer a sense of fun, in the Fall a sense of reflection and in the winter a sense of togetherness.

The Lord works this way in our lives too.  We go through seasons.  He provides seasons of renewal, fun, reflection and togetherness.  He also challenges us with seasons of pain, discovery, transformation and just out right change.

Referring back to the initial scripture noted here it states " It is I who made the earth and created mankind upon it."  (Isaiah 45:12) Take the time today to reflect on all of the "Vibrant Color" that the Lord has placed in your life.  How has He assisted you to grow through the seasons?
Our Lord does not waste a day and nothing in your life is a waste.  It is God creatively placing "Vibrant Color" in your day!!

Taming Our Timing

After reading Women of Faith's Blog today and enjoying Patsy Clairmont's refreshing sense of humor I can relate to a Life that is All Cracked Up.  She had discussed how enduring in an intimate relationship with Christ will give you strength to endure the crushing blows that life throws us.  A few things come to mind that have been on my heart....

I do not know about you all; but I do know that waiting is a real challenge and it is becoming more of a challenge for our younger generations.  Technology today has and is teaching our younger generations that we need everything right now.  How is this reality effecting our younger generation's belief  and relationship with Christ.  Generation after generation we experience our lives journey and the circumstances that can hinder the connection with our Lord Jesus.  For example; trust issues relating to a parent that has let you down, feeling self sufficient, being a person that is used to "right now" or I will take care of it myself and there are many many more.   I am sure you can think of one thing right now that hinders the development in your relationship with Christ.

Getting past the hindering effects of our circumstances and the world around us opens the door to the Grace and Peace that our Lord has to offer us.  This allows for His answered prayer in His timing that displays pure victory over every situation.  I challenge you today to take a look into your own life and discover the intimate details that hold you back in your relationship with Father God.

People are hungry!! Hungry to fulfill the emptiness in their lives with everything under the sun that just clutters up their closets.   I believe this uncluttering will get harder and harder for the younger generations as they try to dig their way through all of the fast pace living that we are used to and the "right now" perspective.  I pray for God to make a way to recondition our hearts and thinking.   We need to impact our younger generations.  I pray for God to make a way that the hindrances in our lives do not replace the quiet times we need to self discover and indulge in the FREEDOM of our salvation and to pass it on.  I pray for discernment to realize that the best things in life are worth waiting for!

Be blessed today and may Gods favor pour over your life!  You do not want to miss what God has to offer you!!

Found It! Run With It! Finding Your Bliss in The New Economy!

Great post Anita Renfroe!  http://blogs.womenoffaith.com/blog/2010/09/follow-your-bliss/

Finding your BLISS is a hunger in the new economy.  So many individuals throughout the world have financial distress relating to economical changes.  These changes that may seem great for one person may remove the quality of life for another person.  Our world is in an ever changing process of ups and downs.   I am a Registered Nurse and believe it or not with all of the nursing jobs in the paper the economy has affected our industry too.  It is time as Anita stated to "Folow Your Bliss"... be creative with the gifts God has given you.

A few months ago we went on a road trip.  Love road trips!!  What a great way to find a little revival in your soul and to get out there and see what's going on in the world around you.  We all get comfortable at times and forget God has created a BIG BIG world out there.  Great sights, great people, history, great foods and diversified culture.   All of these amazing creations refresh your insight, hindsight and overall vision.

This road trip changed my life.  Working paycheck to paycheck, having dreams of great things to pursue, limited resources to pursue those dreams and frustrated with time spent to enhance a large corporate world who does not even know that I exist.  Working for a living to retire in an economy that may not have the means to provide that retirement by that time.  All of these very important details circulated through my mind.  My biggest struggle was that I knew and know that God has given me gifts to prosper.  My own BLISS!  These desires  bubbled inside me like a HOT tub with bubble bath.  Any one who has been silly enough to add bubbles to a whirlpool hot tub knows what I am talking about.  This desire is a renounced bottled up joy that you feel inside and you are waiting for the lid to pop off so you can soar.  Just like seeing the box under the Christmas tree that you know you got what you asked for although at the same time you are not sure.  So the intense anticipation drives you crazy.  Ok... I do not want to get too carried away.

God does this!!!  He creates a desire of an overwhelming something in the core of your being.  You know it is something great and you just need to know how to release it and run with it.  This is what happened to me.  At first I was afraid and I was stuck in the excuse that failure is a possibility.  God says "All things are possible with GOD!".  If He brings you to it He will bring you through it!  He also states in Jeremiah 29:11 I know the plans I have for you; to prosper you and not to harm you; to give you a hope and a future!

How bold does God have to be to get through our thick heads that He loves us and wants us to live and prosper in the great gifts He has blessed each of our lives with?   The purpose He developed for each of us to fulfill.  How long are you going to him and haw before you leap into your BLISS in faith that God will direct your path as long as you are seeking His direction?  Yes, change is never perfect and easy.  I am grateful for the opportunity I have in this lifetime to; as Anita Renfroe states "Follow Your Bliss";  run with my Bliss!  You can too!

For those of you who are discovering the Lords transformation in your life for the first time; Have you invited Him into your life and accepted His beautiful invitation to get intimate and personal with you?  Please let Him in.  He loves you and forgives all of your past failures and mistakes.   It is amazing how He forgives us before we forgive ourselves.  Discover your purpose and run with it!

Mathew 16:24
For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his his life for me will find it.

Have an amazing and blessed day!

Am I Supposed to Be in a Good Mood Everyday?

It is absolutely "true love" when a person gives of themselves even when you are not able.  We all struggle when we pray and pray and pray and God says "not yet or no".  How do you handle this?  What happens to your attitude?  Are you able to maintain a pleasant state of mind or do you fall apart and have a complete melt down?

Hm?  Melt down?  Oh I bet this topic brings at least one or two memory joggers of where you have had one or witnessed one.   Why is it after that amazing flood of emotion things appear to not seem so bad.  Although, depending on the size of the melt down you may be regretting your reaction or at least thinking it over.   Sometimes our mood and feelings get in the way of managing our attitude.

Our Lord has a great sense of humor!  About 13 years ago shortly after my first son was born I remember clearly a test from the Lord regarding my attitude.  I had taken my newborn baby son with me to the store.  It was like yesterday as I remembered parking as close to the store as I could.  It was evening time and as a new mom I was nervous having this precious little life out at the store in the evening.   So we hurried through the store and picked up a few groceries and scurried back out to the car.  When I arrived at the car there was a large over sized pick up that had parked me in.  My first inclination was to march into the store right to the customer service desk and have them announce over the loud speaker that "a very inconsiderate person with a very large truck has parked me in and tell them to MOVE IT!"  When I say large truck I mean it... it had an extra, extra cab with a long bed.  Well, as I had finished putting the groceries in the trunk a still small voice said "trust me".  I laughed and remember very well mumbling under my breath "what ever.... when I close this trunk if that truck is not gone I am marching in the store and I am not going to be pleasant".  Immediately as I closed the trunk.... a very kind gentleman stepped around the back side of the pick up truck. He stated "I am so sorry mam... I will move my truck for you right away.".  Boy!! I said to myself God has a great sense of humor and I almost embarrassed myself.  I will never forget it.  I was given a choice how to react and a choice of what kind of attitude to have.  I was about to make two bad decisions and God showed me His loving grace and delivered me from a moment of humiliation.

The other day my sweetie had to go into town to get a few things and when he returned he handed me a piece of paper.  The Lord always knows what we need and when we need it.   Not only did the piece of paper touch my life right where I was that day it also hit me in the heart of where I have been challenged so many times before.  The story of how my sweetie obtained this piece of paper made me laugh too.  The paper said this....

ATTITUDE
"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.  Attitude, to me, is more important than facts.  It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do.   It is more important than  appearance, giftedness or skill.  It will make or break a company... a church... a home.  The remarkable thing is  we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.  We cannot change the inevitable.  The only thing we can is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude... I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.  And so, it is with you... we are in charge of our attitudes."  ~Charles Swindoll~

Wow!  Thirteen years ago I had a moment of a time when I was given a choice of attitude and God saved me by His grace.   I have great news He saves us by grace everyday!!  You do not have to be in a perfect mood everyday and God will still never leave your side.  When you have a melt down He will pick you up.  When you feel weak He will give you strength.  Our gracious Lord also gives you the FREEDOM to choose even if you do not choose Him.  How great is that.  The truest kind of love that we will ever experience.   Let me leave you with this today....  What choices have you been making?  What kind of attitude has been molding your character?  Have you chosen Christ?

1 Timothy 1:14
The grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant.
