In our lifetime we will meet people who will manipulate using the scripture and Christianity to control you and or the outcomes that that individual is looking for. What needs to be understood is that God will give you discernment to know the difference. I ask the Lord daily in prayer for discernment ... the ability to identify when an individual in your life is not out for your best interest. Remember God has everyone in His hands that effect your life. It is not your responsibility to control every outcome and silence is best at times. God works in lives during those quiet times. Interfering or other people interfering in another person's life during these moments are not seeking the Lord's discernment. This interference causes additional stress and unnecessary situations that could have been avoided. Be careful and be sure of the Holy spirits discernment and guidance when you or someone else is trying to be the hero. It says in Gods word "Be quick to listen and slow to speak". Your relationship is personal and intimate with the Lord. People who think they are in total control of themselves and other people are deceiving themselves. The word says... "Let Go!!! and let God."
I recently witnessed another individual use the scripture in attempt to manipulate another person into apologizing. The unfortunate details of this situation run very deep and the person that used the scripture to manipulate the outcome was a person who knew did not know any of the details. They took one piece of something that they had observed and interfered inappropriately. This is unfortunate when a person boasts about their "Christianity" but in no way exemplify what Jesus would do. Jesus does not manipulate, criticize, or demoralize an individual to have His will in your life. Individuals who utilize these tactics to make an impact in their relationships will ultimately turn a person's heart away from Christ. Let alone destroy their own relationships. What would a new found Christian or Non-Christian want anything to do with a God who was mean and non-loving. I wouldn't. Our service in church yesterday was very meaningful. The impact was exactly this... Surrender humbly to God's word and He will bring His will to pass in your life. He guides us when to act and when to speak. At times we act and speak to soon. Be patient with God; He knows the right way. He knows the path of your victory and your successful outcome.
It is also important to be aware that it is imperative to be careful you do not step into a person's life and interfere in God's Divine plan for that person. You may think you have all the answers and you are going to fix it. Don't... pray first!!! God will give you discernment if He wants to use you. Otherwise you could step into the way of God's plan and interrupt His work.
In conclusion.... humbly surrender to God's will and word and pray for discernment.
