Vibrant Color

“It is I who made the earth and created mankind upon it” (Isaiah 45:12 NIV).

Discovering our Lord's amazing creation is right in front of us every second of every day.  I find it very difficult yet it saddens me to encounter an individual who can not see it at all.  The four seasons are just one minute creation that displays the Lord's creativity.

I live in Northern Minnesota and the winter's here are long.  I realized how the lack of color in the environment actually effects my day.  As we travel through all of the seasons throughout the year and the daily gifts of color they display it is amazing how we respond.   In the Spring there is a sense of renewal, in the Summer a sense of fun, in the Fall a sense of reflection and in the winter a sense of togetherness.

The Lord works this way in our lives too.  We go through seasons.  He provides seasons of renewal, fun, reflection and togetherness.  He also challenges us with seasons of pain, discovery, transformation and just out right change.

Referring back to the initial scripture noted here it states " It is I who made the earth and created mankind upon it."  (Isaiah 45:12) Take the time today to reflect on all of the "Vibrant Color" that the Lord has placed in your life.  How has He assisted you to grow through the seasons?
Our Lord does not waste a day and nothing in your life is a waste.  It is God creatively placing "Vibrant Color" in your day!!

Transforming your life... the secret to successful living!!!!

Taming Our Timing

After reading Women of Faith's Blog today and enjoying Patsy Clairmont's refreshing sense of humor I can relate to a Life that is All Cracked Up.  She had discussed how enduring in an intimate relationship with Christ will give you strength to endure the crushing blows that life throws us.  A few things come to mind that have been on my heart....

I do not know about you all; but I do know that waiting is a real challenge and it is becoming more of a challenge for our younger generations.  Technology today has and is teaching our younger generations that we need everything right now.  How is this reality effecting our younger generation's belief  and relationship with Christ.  Generation after generation we experience our lives journey and the circumstances that can hinder the connection with our Lord Jesus.  For example; trust issues relating to a parent that has let you down, feeling self sufficient, being a person that is used to "right now" or I will take care of it myself and there are many many more.   I am sure you can think of one thing right now that hinders the development in your relationship with Christ.

Getting past the hindering effects of our circumstances and the world around us opens the door to the Grace and Peace that our Lord has to offer us.  This allows for His answered prayer in His timing that displays pure victory over every situation.  I challenge you today to take a look into your own life and discover the intimate details that hold you back in your relationship with Father God.

People are hungry!! Hungry to fulfill the emptiness in their lives with everything under the sun that just clutters up their closets.   I believe this uncluttering will get harder and harder for the younger generations as they try to dig their way through all of the fast pace living that we are used to and the "right now" perspective.  I pray for God to make a way to recondition our hearts and thinking.   We need to impact our younger generations.  I pray for God to make a way that the hindrances in our lives do not replace the quiet times we need to self discover and indulge in the FREEDOM of our salvation and to pass it on.  I pray for discernment to realize that the best things in life are worth waiting for!

Be blessed today and may Gods favor pour over your life!  You do not want to miss what God has to offer you!!

Found It! Run With It! Finding Your Bliss in The New Economy!

Great post Anita Renfroe!  http://blogs.womenoffaith.com/blog/2010/09/follow-your-bliss/

Finding your BLISS is a hunger in the new economy.  So many individuals throughout the world have financial distress relating to economical changes.  These changes that may seem great for one person may remove the quality of life for another person.  Our world is in an ever changing process of ups and downs.   I am a Registered Nurse and believe it or not with all of the nursing jobs in the paper the economy has affected our industry too.  It is time as Anita stated to "Folow Your Bliss"... be creative with the gifts God has given you.

A few months ago we went on a road trip.  Love road trips!!  What a great way to find a little revival in your soul and to get out there and see what's going on in the world around you.  We all get comfortable at times and forget God has created a BIG BIG world out there.  Great sights, great people, history, great foods and diversified culture.   All of these amazing creations refresh your insight, hindsight and overall vision.

This road trip changed my life.  Working paycheck to paycheck, having dreams of great things to pursue, limited resources to pursue those dreams and frustrated with time spent to enhance a large corporate world who does not even know that I exist.  Working for a living to retire in an economy that may not have the means to provide that retirement by that time.  All of these very important details circulated through my mind.  My biggest struggle was that I knew and know that God has given me gifts to prosper.  My own BLISS!  These desires  bubbled inside me like a HOT tub with bubble bath.  Any one who has been silly enough to add bubbles to a whirlpool hot tub knows what I am talking about.  This desire is a renounced bottled up joy that you feel inside and you are waiting for the lid to pop off so you can soar.  Just like seeing the box under the Christmas tree that you know you got what you asked for although at the same time you are not sure.  So the intense anticipation drives you crazy.  Ok... I do not want to get too carried away.

God does this!!!  He creates a desire of an overwhelming something in the core of your being.  You know it is something great and you just need to know how to release it and run with it.  This is what happened to me.  At first I was afraid and I was stuck in the excuse that failure is a possibility.  God says "All things are possible with GOD!".  If He brings you to it He will bring you through it!  He also states in Jeremiah 29:11 I know the plans I have for you; to prosper you and not to harm you; to give you a hope and a future!

How bold does God have to be to get through our thick heads that He loves us and wants us to live and prosper in the great gifts He has blessed each of our lives with?   The purpose He developed for each of us to fulfill.  How long are you going to him and haw before you leap into your BLISS in faith that God will direct your path as long as you are seeking His direction?  Yes, change is never perfect and easy.  I am grateful for the opportunity I have in this lifetime to; as Anita Renfroe states "Follow Your Bliss";  run with my Bliss!  You can too!

For those of you who are discovering the Lords transformation in your life for the first time; Have you invited Him into your life and accepted His beautiful invitation to get intimate and personal with you?  Please let Him in.  He loves you and forgives all of your past failures and mistakes.   It is amazing how He forgives us before we forgive ourselves.  Discover your purpose and run with it!

Mathew 16:24
For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his his life for me will find it.

Have an amazing and blessed day!

Am I Supposed to Be in a Good Mood Everyday?

It is absolutely "true love" when a person gives of themselves even when you are not able.  We all struggle when we pray and pray and pray and God says "not yet or no".  How do you handle this?  What happens to your attitude?  Are you able to maintain a pleasant state of mind or do you fall apart and have a complete melt down?

Hm?  Melt down?  Oh I bet this topic brings at least one or two memory joggers of where you have had one or witnessed one.   Why is it after that amazing flood of emotion things appear to not seem so bad.  Although, depending on the size of the melt down you may be regretting your reaction or at least thinking it over.   Sometimes our mood and feelings get in the way of managing our attitude.

Our Lord has a great sense of humor!  About 13 years ago shortly after my first son was born I remember clearly a test from the Lord regarding my attitude.  I had taken my newborn baby son with me to the store.  It was like yesterday as I remembered parking as close to the store as I could.  It was evening time and as a new mom I was nervous having this precious little life out at the store in the evening.   So we hurried through the store and picked up a few groceries and scurried back out to the car.  When I arrived at the car there was a large over sized pick up that had parked me in.  My first inclination was to march into the store right to the customer service desk and have them announce over the loud speaker that "a very inconsiderate person with a very large truck has parked me in and tell them to MOVE IT!"  When I say large truck I mean it... it had an extra, extra cab with a long bed.  Well, as I had finished putting the groceries in the trunk a still small voice said "trust me".  I laughed and remember very well mumbling under my breath "what ever.... when I close this trunk if that truck is not gone I am marching in the store and I am not going to be pleasant".  Immediately as I closed the trunk.... a very kind gentleman stepped around the back side of the pick up truck. He stated "I am so sorry mam... I will move my truck for you right away.".  Boy!! I said to myself God has a great sense of humor and I almost embarrassed myself.  I will never forget it.  I was given a choice how to react and a choice of what kind of attitude to have.  I was about to make two bad decisions and God showed me His loving grace and delivered me from a moment of humiliation.

The other day my sweetie had to go into town to get a few things and when he returned he handed me a piece of paper.  The Lord always knows what we need and when we need it.   Not only did the piece of paper touch my life right where I was that day it also hit me in the heart of where I have been challenged so many times before.  The story of how my sweetie obtained this piece of paper made me laugh too.  The paper said this....

ATTITUDE
"The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life.  Attitude, to me, is more important than facts.  It is more important than the past, than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think or say or do.   It is more important than  appearance, giftedness or skill.  It will make or break a company... a church... a home.  The remarkable thing is  we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.  We cannot change the inevitable.  The only thing we can is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude... I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.  And so, it is with you... we are in charge of our attitudes."  ~Charles Swindoll~

Wow!  Thirteen years ago I had a moment of a time when I was given a choice of attitude and God saved me by His grace.   I have great news He saves us by grace everyday!!  You do not have to be in a perfect mood everyday and God will still never leave your side.  When you have a melt down He will pick you up.  When you feel weak He will give you strength.  Our gracious Lord also gives you the FREEDOM to choose even if you do not choose Him.  How great is that.  The truest kind of love that we will ever experience.   Let me leave you with this today....  What choices have you been making?  What kind of attitude has been molding your character?  Have you chosen Christ?

1 Timothy 1:14
The grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant.

Are you Toxic? Your Health is Your Wealth!

Did you know that most of us run around with our bodies in an acidotic state?  Ask yourself these questions and it will pretty much answer this question for you.

1.  Do I have a lot of stress in my life?

2.  Am I tired and unmotivated?

3.  Do I have a lack of mental clarity?

4.  Do I have difficulty completing tasks?

5.  Do I have any of these health complications?

           Asthma
           Allergies
           Diabetes
           Heart Disease
           Skin Conditions
           Acne
           Pain
           Generalized Fatigue
           Depression
           Arthritis
           On Multiple Medications
           Urinary Problems
           Cancer
           High Cholesterol
           Elevated blood Pressure
           Reoccurring Infections
           The list can go on......

6.  How many carbonated beverages do I drink in a day? (This includes carbonated water too)

7.  Do I experience difficulty sleeping through the night and waking up feeling exhausted?

8.  Do I rely on coffee to jump start my day?

9.  Or, Do I just feel like I could feel better than I do now?

I could go on with many more questions for self evaluation but I think these ones hit the general population pretty well.  Let me go back to what I initially stated about walking around in an acidotic state.   Our body has a natural balancing  mechanism called the acid / base balance.  Our bodies pH level distinguishes whether the body is acidotic (acid) or alkaline (base).  This is measured by the pH level found in the bodies systemic system.  This can be interpreted through a blood test.   Our bodies ideal pH level is around 7.35.  The pH scale ranges from 1 to 14.  1 being the most acidic and 14 being the most alkaline.  It is when our body is in this acidotic state that your body is susceptible to illness and disease.  This process affects the health of every cell in the body and therefore can have a very harmful affect if it is out of balance.  Our body can not take this imbalance for an extended period of time.

Early stages of pH acid imbalance include;
Headaches
Sinus problems
Skin Conditions
Allergies
Colds & Flu symptoms
Pain (Acute & Chronic)
Infection

When the acidotic state continues to deviate into a more progressed severity it begins to affect your body in a more significant way.  Your body becomes weak and the cells in the body start to die.  The result of this is... lack of oxygen to the body and we can not live without oxygen.  An acidotic state in the body can ultimately cause death.

The great news is... it is almost impossible for disease or illness to manifest or sustain itself when the body is in a neutral state.  Going back to the ideal pH of being around 7.35.  The neutral range in the body is 7 to 7.4.  The bad news is most of Americans run around in an acidotic state of 6.2 to 6.4.

So, the question is.  How do YOU really feel and what can you do about it?

Fix Our Eyes On Jesus

There is a quote in the Women Of Faith blog that I read today and it has really stirred up the reality of its importance in my life and I believe it will in yours too.  Sheila Walsh states "Faith is not wishful thinking or theatrics.  Faith is born in us as we fix our eyes on Jesus and as we recognize the fingerprints of God the Father all over our lives."

Wow!!! this is great.... Fix our eyes on Jesus....  Visible fingerprints of God in our daily lives?   Is this really possible to see his works so intimately in our lives?  Yes! and I see them everyday.  Everyday our Father God will give you a sign you are on track.  Starting your day and asking God to direct your steps and guard your mind and heart is plugging in to His grace.  You are fixing your eyes on Him.  It is simple.   Our Father does not want to make it harder than it is.  I have a habit of analyzing everything to death at times.  The Lord keeps it simple.   The signs in your daily walk disclose to you and give you direction to keep you on track.

God uses rainbows in my life.  A few monumental moments in my life where I needed to know He was with me He has brought me a rainbow.  I had made a major move a few years ago and it was the hardest thing I have ever had to do.  I packed up and drove 2500 miles.  I felt as though I was numb.  I believe sometimes when we have to do things we do not want to do God just takes over and gets you there.  When I arrived to my new home I walked down to the lake.  It had only been about an hour after I had arrived.  When I walked down to the lake there was the most beautiful rainbow.  This was not just a partial rainbow it was the whole thing directly over the lake with two gorgeous Loons swimming just beneath it.  It brought such an overwhelming sensation of peace.  This gave me the grace to know He loves me that much to show me I am in line with His will.  He loves everyone of us that much!!!

Sheila also states "I became convinced that it means that every time my will crossed God’s will, I dragged my will back in line with his. It means doing the things that I know are good and true, whether I feel like it or not."  Sometimes what we have in our minds and what we envision to be right and true is not in line with Gods will.  In our hearts everything we are envisioning makes sense but it just does not come to pass.  It is at these moments our faith is really tested.  Pain and suffering become part of your day and you may feel that God is not seeing you through.  Don't give up!!!  It is in these times that the Lord is making a great attempt to bring you back in line with His will.  Everything seems  right in your mind and you think the Lord will bring it to pass because it is what is right and true to you.  Not always!!!  The hardest part of my relationship with the Lord has been at these moments and He tells me to either "wait for my timing" or "we are doing this my way kiddo"  Ouch! that hurts.  Although these times really test our faith God knows best and you will come out victorious if you stay in line with His will and trust Him.

So... today make that commitment and we will stand in a agreement with you.  When two or more are joined together He is there!!!  That is what His word says... so lets line up today and fix our eyes on Christ in every need you have, keep your eyes open and see His fingerprints, and watch His glory prevail every day in your life.  God Bless!

Benefits of Alpha-lipoic acid... It's your health!

You can improve your quality of life.....

Are you Diabetic or do you have a strong chance of becoming one?  How about these other illness's?

Diabetes
Neuropathy
Memory loss
Fatigue
HIV/AIDS
Cancer
Liver disease
Cardiac disease
Lyme disease
Cataracts
Glaucoma
Wilson's Disease

Here is the latest news from Web/MD on Alpha-lipoic acid.

Alpha-lipoic acid is a vitamin-like chemical called an antioxidant. Yeast, liver, kidney, spinach, broccoli, and potatoes are good sources of alpha-lipoic acid. It is also made in the laboratory for use as medicine.

Alpha-lipoic acid is used for diabetes and nerve-related symptoms of diabetes including burning, pain, and numbness in the legs and arms. High doses of alpha-lipoic acid are approved in Germany for the treatment of these symptoms.

Some people use alpha-lipoic acid for memory loss, chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), HIV/AIDS, cancer, liver disease, diseases of the heart and blood vessels (including a disorder called cardiac autonomic neuropathy) and Lyme disease.

Alpha-lipoic acid is also used to treat eye-related disorders, such as damage to the retina, cataracts, glaucoma, and an eye disease called Wilson’s disease.

How does it work?

Alpha-lipoic acid seems to help prevent certain kinds of cell damage in the body, and also restores vitamin levels such as vitamin E and vitamin C. There is also evidence that alpha-lipoic acid can improve the function and conduction of neurons in diabetes.

Alpha-lipoic acid is used in the body to break down carbohydrates and to make energy for the other organs in the body.

Alpha-lipoic acid seems to work as an antioxidant, which means that it might provide protection to the brain under conditions of damage or injury. The antioxidant effects might also be helpful in certain liver diseases.

Moms On The Mend (MOTM): Ten Ways to Turn Your Day Around

Moms On The Mend (MOTM): Ten Ways to Turn Your Day Around: "We all have a day here and there where the whole roof seems to cave in. A day where nothing seems to go right or maybe a time period where ..."

Ten Ways to Turn Your Day Around

We all have a day here and there where the whole roof seems to cave in.  A day where nothing seems to go right or maybe a time period where everything seems to snow ball.  I can relate and guess what??  The very next minute is a new minute... the next second is a new second... the next hour is a new hour to change your thought process on the whole situation.  This is a topic I know well.  Do not box yourself in!!! Our frame of mind and our damaging thought process can be worse than what is actually taking place.  Our thoughts can make or break your success in that very next second.. next minute... or next hour.   This is a learning process but it is possible to retrain our thoughts and reactions to "STUFF".  A new beginning is offered and it is our CHOICE to take it or leave it.

Ten Ways To Turn Your Day Around

1.  Start your day off with something positive.

It is easy to jump out of bed and start the same old routine you have had for years.  Switch it up a bit.  Read your Bible, a devotional you enjoy, if you check your email first thing in the morning subscribe to a daily devotional, Do something that will put the Grace of God's armour on you at the start of your day.  The fiery arrows will come but they will BOUNCE off.

2.  Look in the mirror and tell yourself that you are valued.

You are valued!!!  You have many tasks to accomplish in your day.  Without you someone will have been left unattended to or something will not get done.  This goes for all of us.  Even if it just consists of our dog being fed and given fresh water.  We all make a difference in the day!!! So, whatever is bringing you down it can not destroy everything.  It may just make your journey a little more challenging as you learn to process and change the impact of our "Stinken Thinken" and "Distracting Reacting".

3.  Start your day with a healthy start.

Our diet and nutrition absolutely makes a difference in the day.  Your health and wellness is worth everything you put into it and the results will transform your life.  This may seem like a difficult task.  Let's think about this.... actually this is the wrong thing to do.  This is one of those areas where our "Stinken Thinken" will get in the way.  Your mind will come up with every excuse not to implement a great wellness system into the day.  Trust me!!! It is worth it and some things should just be done and not pondered so much where we think ourselves out of it.

4.  Do a self check.

Am I positive person or am I a negative person?  When you enter a group of people or talk with someone individually do you take over the conversation with your problems or do you lighten up the group with insightful conversation?  Ouch!!!  I did  not like this one either.  Well, one may say that it depends on the kind of day I am having.  Change that attitude!!!  Pick your head up and demand to yourself everyday that TODAY is a new day and I am going to have a GREAT day today no matter what.  Do this and you will see a change in your view of your circumstance and a transformation in your relationships with other people.

5.  Smile, Play & Laugh

Why when we become adults do we take on the world.  Women especially need to focus on this one.  How many of you forget to play?  How many of you just thought... I do not have time to play?  Caught you!!!  You need to play... you need to laugh.... and let me tell you that you will smile more doing it.  We tame our agenda's and it is amazing how we will complain about not being able to play but we will go put that other load of laundry in or make that last phone call or...... the list can go on.  Drop it and play for an hour a day!! You will not regret it.

6.  Listen to someone else when they are talking without taking over the conversation.

Hmm?  I have done this one and I have caught myself too.  You can not rewind time.  So taking time to hear what someone is really saying without turning around the conversation toward your own situation or frustrations.  There is a peace about listening.  You may be a blessing to that person and that you can feel great about.

7.   Donate your time once or twice a month and then be there.

The value of giving yourself and time to an organization or event that other people enjoy will bless you.  This summer the boys and I donated our time to a local Community Soup Kitchen and at first the kids complained but when it was all over they said "Mom, that was fun can we do it again?".  When you plant a seed it will grow.

8.  Hug someone.

Personal touch is so important to the human body.  I am sure you come across one person a day that you can hug.  This may sound corny to some of you but many people are afraid of personal affection.  We are created to be loved and to love in return.  Hug your husband, your kids, a friend, a parent, or maybe you have a pet.  A great hug will rest the soul.

9.  Exercise.

Discipline is the pathway to freedom!!!  FREEDOM!!!  Get rid of the toxic stress and "Stinken Thinken"  and go for a walk, a bike ride, or what ever you enjoy.  Your day with all of its difficulties is coming close to an end and you will have survived and made progress toward your life's transformation.  That is worth celebrating.  Pop on the Ipod with your favorite music and hit the pavement.

10.  Read something peaceful before bed.

Rest your mind.  Do not take all of your worries with you to bed.  Tomorrow is a new day and each struggle will resolve in its own timing.  Accept the reality that you are not in charge and when we finally accept this and rest our thoughts things will turn around.

I wish you all a fresh new day everyday!!!  Today is your day!!!

Transforming your life... the secret to successful living!!!!

Triumphant Surrender

Sometimes it is good to take our own advice and sometimes its not. Yesterday in church our Paster spoke about the "Triumphant Surrender". This is the submission into God's will for our lives... meaning that we adjust our lives to His word not adjust His word to our lives. Let me explain in lehman's terms... when a person takes a scripture and twists that scripture to manipulate their situation or another individual this is not God's word or will.

In our lifetime we will meet people who will manipulate using the scripture and Christianity to control you and or the outcomes that that individual is looking for. What needs to be understood is that God will give you discernment to know the difference. I ask the Lord daily in prayer for discernment ... the ability to identify when an individual in your life is not out for your best interest. Remember God has everyone in His hands that effect your life. It is not your responsibility to control every outcome and silence is best at times. God works in lives during those quiet times. Interfering or other people interfering in another person's life during these moments are not seeking the Lord's discernment. This interference causes additional stress and unnecessary situations that could have been avoided. Be careful and be sure of the Holy spirits discernment and guidance when you or someone else is trying to be the hero. It says in Gods word "Be quick to listen and slow to speak". Your relationship is personal and intimate with the Lord. People who think they are in total control of themselves and other people are deceiving themselves. The word says... "Let Go!!! and let God."

I recently witnessed another individual use the scripture in attempt to manipulate another person into apologizing. The unfortunate details of this situation run very deep and the person that used the scripture to manipulate the outcome was a person who knew did not know any of the details. They took one piece of something that they had observed and interfered inappropriately. This is unfortunate when a person boasts about their "Christianity" but in no way exemplify what Jesus would do. Jesus does not manipulate, criticize, or demoralize an individual to have His will in your life. Individuals who utilize these tactics to make an impact in their relationships will ultimately turn a person's heart away from Christ. Let alone destroy their own relationships. What would a new found Christian or Non-Christian want anything to do with a God who was mean and non-loving. I wouldn't. Our service in church yesterday was very meaningful. The impact was exactly this... Surrender humbly to God's word and He will bring His will to pass in your life. He guides us when to act and when to speak. At times we act and speak to soon. Be patient with God; He knows the right way. He knows the path of your victory and your successful outcome.

It is also important to be aware that it is imperative to be careful you do not step into a person's life and interfere in God's Divine plan for that person. You may think you have all the answers and you are going to fix it. Don't... pray first!!! God will give you discernment if He wants to use you. Otherwise you could step into the way of God's plan and interrupt His work.

In conclusion.... humbly surrender to God's will and word and pray for discernment.

Let us pray together today....
Lord I lift up all who you have lead to Moms on The Mend. Where there are two or more brought together there you are!!! Thank you Lord. I pray for the discipline to always put you first in our day. I ask you for guidance in our words and actions and that they may be nourishment onto others. We ask for daily discernment to create healthy environments in our lives and our families lives. Thank you Lord for your gracious and loving guidance; your amazing intervention in our lives; your Holy Spirits gifts. We love you and praise your Holy name. Amen

Below are some of the scriptures that have helped and inspired me through the years... Enjoy!!! Have a blessed day!!!!

Healthcare Reform & Obesity Trends

The Question is.... as Healthcare Reform prevails in the USA... where is that going to hit the community in ten years from now when obesity is tragically affecting 70% of the United States right now?  Childhood obesity statistics are reflecting that our children will have a shorter lifespan than we have.  Children are presenting with early stage risk factors relating to cardiovascular disease!!!!  Let's also consider Diabetes, increased risk of cancers and most of all a lack of quality of life.

http://www.cdc.gov/HealthyYouth/obesity/

Although these trends are serious and tragic evaluations of our wellness something can be done.  These are evaluations....  this is the information we need to make a difference and make an impact.  Our younger generations are so valuable... they are our children, grandchildren, daughter's, nieces, and nephew's.  These generations are going to impact our country and the direction of our healthcare reform.  Unfortunately with our current healthcare reform under construction we are going to really need to consider what kind of healthcare will our younger generations receive once these illness's have impacted their quality of life.  We all are very aware we can not live in a "bubble" per say but we can make the CHOICE to take care of ourselves and incorporate prevention into our own daily lives and our families daily lives.

Considering nutrition and the impact on our environment over the last 50 years our minds need to be open that times have changed.  Fifty years ago you could eat a bowl of spinach and obtain your daily value of iron.  Now it will take 43 bowls of spinach to get that same amount of iron supplement.  I do not know about you... and I like spinach.... I do not want to eat 43 bowls on a daily basis.

Iron is an integral part of many proteins and enzymes that maintain good health. In humans, iron is an essential component of proteins involved in oxygen transport. It is also essential for the regulation of cell growth and differentiation. A deficiency of iron limits oxygen delivery to cells, resulting in fatigue, poor work performance, and decreased immunity.  According to the National Institute of Health.

This is just a piece of how our daily nutritional intake is being impacted and how it affects our body in addition to the environmental toxins in our water, air, and food we absorb daily.

Just consider... if iron is an essential component of proteins involved in oxygen transport, essential for the regulation of cell growth and differentiation, and all of these processes affect our oxygen consumption and we need 43 bowls of natural spinach to accommodate our body's daily need of iron.  Just imagine how our bodies will benefit from having balanced nutrition.  Optimal Performance!!!  Reality is that our general environment is not conclusive to providing pure nutrients these days.  Just like everything else in our world revolves and evolves our resources of nutrition do also.   We need to evolve with it.

Do you upgrade all of your technology in your home randomly as our world of technology evolves??  Do you own an Ipod, Ipad, or the latest in high definition television??

Do you take daily supplements?? Even the most pure organic supplements will not benefit you optimally if the basic components of your body.... the CELLS are not healthy and able to receive and absorb those supplements.  It is absolutely a necessity in today's world that we move into the future and consider the present time acknowledging nutrition and accepting the reality that we need to adapt just as well as we do with the most up to date technology in our homes.  Let's take a stand against obesity and disease and bring the most up to date sources of wellness and nutrition into our homes.

Transformation of your life... IS the secret to your success!!!!
Today is a GREAT day and a day for YOU to make a stand in YOUR home.

Health Trends in Obesity... Make a Difference in Your Home.

About 220,000 people in the United States had weight loss surgery in 2009, according to the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS). That is a more than tenfold annual increase in the surgeries in less than a decade. (Boyles)

USA Population ranks as the third largest in the country.  Currently the numbers are 309,842,000 people in the USA as of July 28, 2010.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_population

USA is ranked at number ONE in the country at 30.6% of our population being obese.  More tragically we are seeing a climbing trend in childhood obesity.   3 out of every 4 children are battling obesity and are at risk of battling heart disease by the age of 30.  Our younger generations are expected to live a shorter life span than our generation.

These are very scary realities.

We can pull together as families and change these statistics in our homes.  We can implement a discipline into our lifestyles that will give our children a healthy future.  Discipline meaning a transformation in choices in our diet and how we treat ourselves and our bodies on a daily basis.  The human body is magnificent and it was created to function in an amazing way.   Looking back on the history of the family farm to the 1950's when our environment and fast food industries began introducing convenience we have lost value in the purity of taking care of our bodies.  The saying "Less is Best" has a lot of value in it.  Unfortunately our society introduces that "More is Better".  Our fast pace living has created a loss of value in our individual well being is taking a great toll on our communities, family, and most importantly YOU.

Each one of us is valued by people in our lives....  Let's take the leap of faith to discipline ourselves and rise up to value ourselves and our loved ones by taking control of this trending epidemic in our homes.

You Are Not alone

Alright here is a topic and I know I am not alone on this one.  How many of you have had one of those days where you are just going along about your business.  You may have been driving down the road all caught up in good thoughts or maybe your praising and worshipping to some great music just thanking God for all the areas of your life He is working.  Then out of no where....  BbbLllllPpppp...... it comes out!!!  A second ago you were praising and the next second you are raving about something.  Does this mean you are not a worthy follower of our Lord Jesus?  No.... we are in the Potter's hands.  We have moments... we mess up... and sometimes we mess up so quickly we couldn't catch it fast enough.  I guess what we need to ask ourselves when this happens is... Are you  a person that recognizes and acknowledges it when it happens or are you a person that just moves on and never thinks about it again??  Ahh whatever!  Do you ask for forgiveness? Do you forgive?  Do you beat yourself up over the small stuff and not let go of it?  Well, if you fall into any of these areas YOU are not alone!!  It is all part of the growing pains we have to experience that create our character and mold us into the beautiful beings that God has planned for us to be.  We are being molded to be the light in the world that we are facing on a daily basis.  We can not hide out... we need to live as Christ intends for us at this time.   I have a perfect example...  I was driving along praising the Lord to a new CD I had just purchased.  Lost in praise ( I love to sing) and out of no where.... I came around a corner on a narrow road and a very large piece of farm equipment came around a corner and without any warning almost ran me off the road.  "BLEEP!!!!" Ya, could have been much worse, came right out of my mouth as though it were a part of the song I was singing.  Thankfully... I stayed on the road.  Immediately I thought WOW,  in one second I was just pleasant and calm and that quick when the unexpected came along I lost my peace.

We WILL have daily attacks on our spirit.  This is a reality.  Although, God does give us the tools to mold our character to handle the unexpected in a pleasant and calm manner.  He gives us the fruit of the spirit and His mighty word.  If we read His word daily and plant it in our hearts it will guide us through any daily attack that may disrupt us EVEN in the split second reactions we may have.  It is how we see transformation in our "REACTION" that displays our maturity in God's word and how we are applying it to our daily living.  I challenge you today to apply God's word and put it to the test next time you catch yourself reacting.

Psalm 37: 23-24
If the Lord delights in a man's way, He makes his steps firm; though he stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with His hand.

Take a deep cleansing breath and know that your Father in Heaven Loves you and He knew you before, during, and after you stumbled.  He has not given up on you!!! So, don't give up on Him.

Have a blessed day....  Stacy Rae
