Betrayal

Have you ever been betrayed? One day or another you will be betrayed or maybe you will betray. Betrayal is painful....and usually occurs by someone you were supposed to be able to trust. Betrayal stems back into biblical times when Jesus was betrayed by Judas. When Judas realized that Jesus' kingdom was "spiritual" and not based on physical or political security Judas betrayed Jesus. Judas believed he would be a man of status standing by Christ's kingdom. When he became aware of this truth Judas was unable to process the value of trusting Jesus. Judas believed political status and wealth was the security he needed. Judas betrayed Jesus for 30 silver coins. Life with Jesus is eternal. 30 silver coins can be spent in one day. The relationship that Christ had put his time into with Judas was thrown away because of greed. A.... "What is in it for me?" attitude. Trust is built and earned and can be torn down instantly. Mathew 26:14 "What are you willing to give me if I turn Him over to you?" States Judas. A moment of greed can cause a betrayal.
Do not be surprised if these people and situations are wiped from your life. "I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. he cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit He prunes so that it can be even more fruitful." John 15:1-2

Betrayal stays with both the individual betrayed and the one who has betrayed forever. The only remedy for this pain is forgiveness. This does not mean you need to continue to associate. You are setting yourself free in the grace of the gifts that Jesus has died for.

The one Betrayed: may feel as though they can not trust, is afraid to allow people into your life, goes into a defense mode, and demands they will never let anyone in who could ever hurt them again.

The Betrayer: may feel successful, proud of their destruction and lies, maybe they are in denial of their own truth in their own lives so they may not be aware of their betrayal (This may sound strange and unforgivable but in the word it says "Forgive them for they know not what they do."), but for sure they have destroyed a relationship that it is unlikely to ever repair.

The only freedom for the betrayed or the betrayer is truth, forgiveness, and let go and let God. Remember it as a learning experience and apply it to your life as wisdom.  A gift.

Most likely, if you have been betrayed, do not hold your breath that the betrayer will ever admit they have wronged you; pray!  It is easier for these individuals who have a pattern of betrayal in their lives to justify it. I guess it is easier than looking themselves in the mirror and admitting to themselves they need to change but this is not our job to figure it out.  God already knows the beginning and the end.  You can only really succeed in true change with the grace of God in your life. You can forgive these people in your life through God's grace so you can move on whether they ever apologize or not. Then leave the betrayal at the cross with the baggage that has weighed your mind down and the baggage that has kept you from living the beautiful life you have been given. Enjoy your knew freedom and do not turn around and pick up the past ever again. Let go! Enjoy all the new and fresh experiences you are about to endure. All that you love in your life will be there one way or another. When you think you have lost everything you just gained more than what you could have ever imagined. Have a wonderful day!! God bless. A Cleansing Giggle...

Enjoy a good laugh.. I hope you can find a giggle in your heart with these videos. :)

I have to laugh because they are all to close to home for me. I have two draws and a full suitcase in this home that my sweetheart has collected of "Hotel Soap". We hand them out as treasures when the little ones visit. There is something about a small bar of soap..... The best is when I ventured out into the garage..... scary place in this home...... to attempt to find .... something. I was moving things around and I had moved a suitcase that was piled on the something I was looking for. Well,... it rattled.... do I dare open it for Hmmm maybe its a critter inside. I leaned back and gently, courageously, and as far a way as possible until my arms were stretched out straight I unzipped the case. OH MY!!!!! I just won a lifetime supply of "Hotel Soap". I only have one theory...I think they are sticky...it is the only thing that I can figure.... they must stick to the hands of my sweetheart when he is on the road and therefore finding their way to our home...IN BULK!!! We give them as gifts.... like I said the little ones find something intriguing about a "small..itsy...bitsy...chicklet bars of soap." :) Have a wonderful day! Next time you wash your hands have a cleansing giggle it refreshes the heart.

Remember .... use your back arrow after you view any video....come back to us!!! We do not want to lose you in cyber space :) Enjoy......

Being Still

You know sometimes we need to do nothing. In the word it says "Be still". Does your mind ever begin to race from thought to thought until you feel completely overwhelmed? All of a sudden all of your mountains appear so intense that you feel like there is no way out. God has a plan. He says "Be still and know that I am God." We are not able to control everything and everyone around you. When life starts falling apart our first inclination is to start grabbing for answers.....Why? Why? Why? The answers do not come fast enough so we start grabbing onto everything around us for dear life for fear of losing it. Our insight becomes unclear and our thoughts become our own enemy as they repeat over and over in your mind. Then ultimately we begin to lose ourselves in the deep painful anguish of the life we have known and confusion of the new life you are being offered. Then one day everything you knew of is gone...... You know deep inside you are in a better place although you realize you do not even know who you are after your loss. Your life revolved around the chaos and the disrupted structure. Now it is silent and you have to face yourself and you can no longer hide behind the pretty picture you painted for so long to disguise your painful circumstances. God says to you "Be still...Rest..." and you do not know how..... You cry yourself to sleep every night and you fight inside to understand..Why? God...if you love me...why? Why my babies? God says "Be still...." Silence for months. You are angry...you feel like God does not hear your cries. You question if He exists. You wonder if you will ever have purpose again. Silence......... Be still....... and know that I am God! Faith! Believe! Months after months, day after day, hour after hour, minute after minute, and one day the breaking point comes and you can get out of bed and get dressed. "Be still and know that I am God." He is your healer your redeemer and He will never abandon you. When the thoughts get crazy and the mountains look too high to climb...sit back, close your eyes, and instead of reacting... "do nothing". Moments later wisdom and clarity will slowly appear and your thoughts calm. He is a God of "Grace" not "dis grace".

Keep your eyes on Him and your answers will come...... Really!! they do come.

Is He REALLY Capable? Domestic Violence-Related Homicide

What happens when your life is being threatened and the community around you thinks that a "nice guy" is not capable of actually physically or emotionally harming someone? What happens when all of the signs are there....preventable signs....and no one listens? Unfortunately, this is happening more and more. Innocent individuals lives are taken when no one believes "He IS capable!".
Domestic Violence is taken too lightly. Individuals fear to get involved or immediately assume you have done something to deserve what is happening to you. Everyone makes a poor choice in your life at sometime although it is very scary to know one poor choice...one poor judgement in someones character....could be your last. It will change your life forever.
I heard comments in the courtroom like..."Its Friday attorneys... make it quick!" To be standing before a judge, asking for help, fearing for your life..., and hearing a comment like this is devastating. You feel a rush of fear even worse than you felt on the street. You begin to realize that you are not taken seriously and you begin to live only to survive. You feel like there is no one to protect you. I have lost my ability to have a voice....a chance at a normal way of life......Your death comes in one way or another.....Your abuser believes he has won.......
I do not have the answers as to why the system is this way. I suppose that at some point someone created this model and now much compassion is lost. I pray for an answer daily....I pray that some day we all can help make a change....save a life.
Reality is this....reality is painful....although what is painful can make you stronger!!!

Psalm 37
Do not fret because of evil men or be envious of those who do wrong; for like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away.

Trust in the lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture, Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart.

Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him and He will do this; He will make your righteousness shine like the dawn, the justice of your cause like the noonday sun.

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for Him; do not fret when men succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.

Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret-it only leads to evil, For evil men will be cut off, but those who hope in the Lord will inherit the land.

A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found. But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy peace.

The wicked plot against the righteous and gnash their teeth at them; but the Lord laughs at the wicked for He knows their day is coming.

The wicked draw the sword and bend the bow to bring down the poor and needy, to slay those whose ways are upright. But their swords pierce their own hearts, and their bows will be broken.........

Psalm 37:39-40

The salvation of the righteous comes from the Lord: he is their stronghold in time of trouble. The Lord helps them and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked and saves them because they take refuge in him.

I dedicate this to my beautiful son. He introduced me to Switchfoot. It is amazing how the Lord does speak through babes....I love you baby :)
